Gauri Chopra has 14 years of experience handling complex insurance coverage disputes involving corporate liabilities. This includes 10 years of private practice experience litigating coverage disputes (including 7 years with the largest global law firm), as well as 4 years of in-house counsel experience with the largest global property and casualty insurer. Gauri has litigated and counseled clients regarding general liability, directors and officers liability, and errors and omissions policies involving matters stemming from product liabilities, securities and related litigation, corporate wrongdoing, environmental contamination and asbestos liabilities. Her matters have involved a wide range of commercial industries, including industrial manufacturing, pharmaceutical, energy, agriculture, and financial institutions.
Gauri’s current practice specializes in advising on complex claim matters, including coverage, claims management, litigation assessment and resolution of multifaceted, high profile, high exposure and novel claims. Gauri’s extensive litigation experience has provided her with the strategic ability to resolve claims on a favorable basis, while her former in-house counsel experience provides her with practical insight into the issues facing her clients including from a business perspective.
