Amanda Ripp is an attorney in Walker Wilcox Matousek’s Chicago office, where she concentrates her practice in the area of eminent domain, land use and local government law. She represents owners of private property and has served as a special assistant attorney general representing the state of Illinois since 2001.
In the area of complex commercial litigation, Ms. Ripp’s experience includes civil rights cases, class actions, and business tort claims. She has experience in all aspects of trial, including seeking and defending injunctions, direct and cross examination, and opening statements and closing arguments in jury trials. Her litigation practice includes matters in state and federal courts at the trial, appellate and supreme court levels. She has served as lead trial counsel in more than 25 contested evidentiary hearings, bench and jury trials in her career.
