As a mid-size firm of dedicated attorneys concentrating in sophisticated insurance, reinsurance and commercial matters, we have the flexibility to respond to our clients’ needs with speed, creativity and cost-effectiveness. Our background provides us with the ability to handle sophisticated claims, including litigation and trial, for clients located in the U.S., London, Bermuda and Europe. Our work ethic enables us steady growth in order to serve a diverse and increasingly competitive client base.
In recognition of the globalization of insurance services, we have responded to our clients’ changing needs
Our lawyers have earned a superior reputation among insurers and reinsurers throughout the U.S. and in the unique insurance markets of the U.K. and Bermuda. To better serve our clients who face property cat losses on the Gulf Coast, we opened a Houston office in 2008. We have attorneys whose practices specialize in complex, multi-million dollar corporate bankruptcies that can significantly affect the fortunes of insurers. We are leading advisers in the emerging area of cyber and privacy insurance, drafting policies, presenting to insurers, hosting webinars and creating a cyber-insurance blog. Complementing our experience in insurance and reinsurance, our lawyers handle direct defense litigation in jurisdictions throughout the U.S. involving a variety of matters such as products and premises liability, transportation liability, construction claims, defamation and class actions.
WWM’s clients, lawyers and staff are diverse and active members of their communities.
As just a few of the examples of our community activities, WWM collaborates with the YMCA and the Greater Chicago Food Depository to deliver food to “food deserts” in the Chicago area. Several of our lawyers have represented clients who seek asylum in the U.S. through our affiliation with the Heartland Alliance/National Immigrant Justice Center. For several years, we have contributed to the annual Chicago Bar Foundation Investing in Justice Campaign and sponsor runners (and walkers) for the annual Race Judicata sponsored by Chicago Volunteer Legal Services.
